Self portrait in Winter

—

Do you at times feel that semblance will return once things are warm?

That these layers upon layers of stifling material are holding you back?

That your body needs to feel baking heat?

The winter always lasts too long, lingering like a late night guest.

I shall be me when the sun shines.
